P.S. Do not forget - hurricane season 2025 is NOT over!

Hurricane season ends on November 30, 2025. And there’s a reason it goes that late into the year. Let Hurricane Melissa be a reminder to you - if you are in a hurricane prone area, do not let your guard down just yet. There can definitely be hurricanes into November.

Make sure your hurricane kit is still fully stocked. It’s not time to eat all that canned food, peanut butter, and bottled water just yet. Keep your stock all the way through November 30th. Make sure you have aim ‘n flames, batteries, candles, matches, and everything else and then some, in your hurricane supply kit.

512) Sights & Sounds - of the Seashore! Hurricane Erin 470 miles off the Atlantic Coast

Join me this morning in beautiful Jacksonville Beach, Florida! Let’s enjoy some sights and sounds of the seashore together.

On this day Hurricane Erin is 477.7 miles off the Atlantic coast. It is a day of red flags, dangerous rip currents and strong waves. While only very experienced and strong swimmers should be in the water on this day, the sandy shores were still enjoyed by many. It’s so fun (and somewhat addicting) to watch the waves crashing.

Join me on this motivational Monday morning for our June livestream sunrise walking tour in historic downtown St. Augustine, Florida! Today we will be exploring Avenida Menendez and the historic St. Augustine Bayfront.

Join me for a 30 minute sunrise beach walk on this motivational Monday morning along the Atlantic Ocean in beautiful Jacksonville Beach, Florida. As we walk, we’ll check for any new sea turtle nests. Plus, hurricane season 2025 has officially begun.

To start the season off, I’ve developed a dedicated resource page on my website offering tips, advice, sample hurricane kit lists, as well as many links, apps, channels, and .gov websites that may be helpful throughout the entirety of storm season. Plus, I also offer up my personal best hurricane advice that I follow myself.

Everyone in a hurricane prone area can benefit in some way from this article, so please pass along this video and the resource page linked below. Together we can help others become more knowledgeable and aware of hurricanes and their strength, seriousness, how to prepare, learn ways to be as safe as possible, and what to do and be aware of in the immediate aftermath of a storm’s passing.

A: Hurricane season is six months long = June 1st - November 30th each year. Now is the time to start preparing, as the busiest parts of the season are in August, September, and October, with the height of the season being September 10th. 382) Vlogmas: Deck The Chairs 2024 - Daytime Display Walking Tour - Jax Beach, Florida 11.30.24

Join me for a live walking tour of the 2024 Deck The Chairs holiday display in downtown Jacksonville Beach, Florida. This annual tradition at the beach is set up all across the lawn at the Seawalk Pavilion. The display is lit nightly with music, concessions for sale, and is completely free to attend - no entry ticket is required.

Today also happens to mark the final day of the 2024 Hurricane Season! So, needless to say, we will be celebrating this momentous occasion and saying goodbye to all that is and was for 2024.

I especially love that, during this time of year, just simply going for a morning walk along 1st Street, I can see the fun and festive holiday decorations. The sight of this display definitely brings me back in time to when I first moved down here to Florida, and this was the first sign of Christmas here at the beach for me.

Today we’ll be checking out each of the lifeguard chair displays and who their associated sponsor or business/organization is hosting each chair. This event runs nightly starting the day before Thanksgiving, all the way through New Years Day 2025.

Good evening fellow dreamers. Join me for ‘Street to the Beach’ in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Today we are checking out the town of Jacksonville Beach and the beach itself before Hurricane Helene gets bad. We are in the outer bands on the Atlantic Ocean side of the storm.

After this livestream the storm strengthened again from a Category 3 to a Category 4 hurricane before landfall on the Gulf coast. I do hope everyone in the path is safe, well, dry, and my best wishes and love sent your way, always.

Thinking of everybody in the storm last night, today, and into tomorrow now as well. This evening as it's continually pouring rain, I think of how much fun we had together yesterday before the storm came through. And after much deep thought, and very serious consideration, I tend to think that Florida Man came out just to put a smile on all of our faces. At least, that's my theory.

Forecast calls for more and more rain tomorrow, so I'm extra glad we're set to have a DIY art project together tomorrow night. I will be drinking iced coffee - with extra ice. So grab your favorite drink and join me Tuesday evening. We'll be sipping, painting, and chatting - together. The stream is up for anyone who needs or wants to chat or simply say hello, and I will be monitoring it as well.

Hey! Did you know we’re in The Sunshine State? But even if you’re not located in Florida, that sun is still powerful… So if you’re headed outside and/or to the beach today, here’s my friendly remember to protect yourself from the heat and intensity of the Florida sun:
1- Wear sunblock to protect your skin, and reapply often.
2- Wear sunglasses to protect your eyes.
3- Wear a hat to protect your head, or a wide-brim hat to protect your head, ears, and neck.
4- I highly recommend wearing long-sleeve, dry-fit clothing with UV protection to further help protect your skin. I’m wearing Amazon brand UV protection, zip-up long sleeves with a hood, and it keeps me cool, while protecting me from any sunburn whatsoever.
5- Hydrate! Drink lots of water.
6- Take breaks.
7- Listen to your body. Heat exhaustion is no joke and can come on suddenly.

256) Jacksonville Beach, Florida Saturday Morning Beach Walk. Hurricane Season 2024 begins today June 1st

Hey There Weekend Dreamers!! Life is like a hurricane - and today is the first official day of hurricane season for 2024.

Hurricane season spans June 1st through November 30th each year. If you live in a hurricane prone area, it’s extremely important to be prepared and have a hurricane kit fully stocked - each season.

This will be my 8th hurricane season living in The Sunshine State. Over the years I have compiled a ‘Life Is Like A Hurricane’ playlist (linked below) with videos about my experiences throughout previous hurricane seasons. And probably the most important of which includes a ‘hurricane supply kit’ video to help give you some ideas and recommendations on supplies you may want to stock up on - also linked below.

So as we mark the start of yet another season with some potential for wild, windy, and wet weather in Florida, this is simply my friendly reminder to be prepared in advance of any storm, and most importantly, why keeping a sense of humor about these storms has helped me immensely each year.

And thanks for walking the beach with me today. Let’s start our watches together and go for a scenic walk along the coastline here in beautiful Jacksonville Beach, Florida.

So go ahead and grab your walking shoes, enjoy the POV and beach vibes, and let’s do this.
